REDCap

This course introduces REDCap project design, including creating instruments, field types, branching logic and data collection. The course provides everything you need to know to get started with REDCap.

The Data Dictionary Class is meant for REDCap users who want to create or edit larger studies quickly by using the REDCap Data Dictionary feature. This class assumes that you have at least some working knowledge of REDCap  project design and Microsoft Excel.

This course will help you understand and use REDCap logic syntax for branching logic, calculations, reporting and more. We start with the basics and move on to building more complex logic statements as well as covering advanced topics and troubleshooting your logic statements.

This course covers how to setup and distribute surveys in REDCap, including sending out a simple survey as well as sending out a multiple surveys using the survey queue. The course will explain how to manage your surveys and setup automated invitations, as well as discussing anonymous surveys and example survey uses.

The course also covers options for advanced survey functionality, including Automated Survey Invitations and Alerts and Notifications. You will also learn about advanced survey setup and distribution options, and best practices for managing surveys.

This class discusses REDCap Mobile App options, including the REDCap Mobile App, which allows offline data collection through study team devices and later syncing back to REDCap, as well as MyCap, an app used to collect data through study participants’ mobile devices.

This guide provides step by step instructions for using Randomization in REDCap. This information is propriety to the University of Washington REDCap instance so screenshots may differ slightly from what is seen at other institutions since each REDCap instance may have different versions and features enabled.

Learn how to set up e-Consent in your REDCap projects using the newly updated e-Consent Framework built-in to REDCap. This feature enables remote consenting for research studies and is approved for usage by the University of Washington Human Subjects Division.
