CUIDA
The CUIDA Program is a seven-lesson course designed to help family caregivers better understand dementia & develop practical skills for providing effective, compassionate care. Participants will learn about the causes & progression of dementia, strategies for communicating with loved ones, & evidence-based techniques for managing challenging behaviors using the ABC (Activators, Behaviors, Consequences) approach.
Throughout the course, caregivers will build & refine personalized care plans, learn how meaningful activities can improve quality of life, & develop problem-solving skills to adapt to changing needs. The program also emphasizes the importance of caregiver well-being, offering tools for stress management, self-care, & building support networks.
By the end of the course, participants will feel more confident, prepared, & supported in their caregiving journey.
