Person-Centered Care in SUD Settings: Science of Assessment - Medical Aspects of Care

In this course, the focus shifts to the technical elements of assessment. This can sometimes feel transactional so it's important to remember the relational skills learned for engagement and building rapport in earlier courses. You will learn how to gather information to support medical necessity and help the person access the services they need to achieve their goals. This training will dive into ASAM Dimensions 1 and 2.

This self-paced training is designed to be finished in approximately one hour. You have the flexibility to exit the course and return at any time to resume from where you left off. Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to earn 1 Continuing Education (CE) credit and download your certificate at no cost.

This course is part of the Advancing Person-Centered Care in Substance Use Disorder Settings series, which offers focused, standalone learning experiences that can be taken individually or as a complete set.
